  1. Unless you study hard, you can’t do well in the exam.
=   Study hard or you can’t do well in the exam.
  1. Unless you practice regularly, you can’t play well.
=   Practice regularly or you can’t play well.

Example:

Compound
to Simple:
Rule – 1: And hy³ Compound sentence wU‡K simple K‡i‡Z n‡j :
           After + V + ing/ On + V + ing / V + ing/ Having + V3 + Sub + verb + extension.
Example:
1. We took meal and we went to college.
=   Taking/ After taking/ On taking/ Having taken meal, we went to college.
 
Rule – 2:  And / and so / so / hence / therefore hy³ Compound sentence wU‡K simple K‡i‡Z n‡j :
                  Because of / Owing to / due to / on account of / Being + Possessive case + N(v+ing) + extention.
Example:
1. The boy was innocent and he was loved by all.
=  Because of his being innocent, the boy was loved.
 
Rule – 3:   Very ………… and / and so / so / hence / therefore hy³ Compound sentence wU‡K simple K‡i‡Z n‡j :
                      Sub + verb + too + adj. + to + V+ extension.
Example:
1. The man is very weak and he can’t walk.
     Answer: The man is too weak to walk.
2. The boy is dull therefore he can’t understand it well.
=   The boy is too dull to understand it well.
 
Rule – 4:  And hy³ Compound sentence wU‡K simple K‡i‡Z n‡j :
               By + V + ing/ V+ ing/ in case of + objective + Noun (V+ing) + extension.
Example:
1. Take exercise regularly and you will be healthy.
=   By taking exercise regularly you will be healthy.
2.  Move and die. Answer: By moving, you will die.
 
Rule – 5:  Or / otherwise hy³ Compound sentence wU‡K simple K‡i‡Z n‡j :
                       In case of your future to + V1 + extension.
Or
In case of your not + V + ing + extension.
Example:
1)     Walk fast or you can’t catch the train.
=      Without walking fast you can’t catch the
train.
2)      Study hard or you can’t pass in the exam.
=      Without hard or you can’t pass in the exam.
 
Rule – 6:  But/ yet hy³ Compound sentence wU‡K simple K‡i‡Z n‡j : Despite / In spite of + V + ing + extension.
Or
In spite of + Possessive case + V + ing/ (Noun)
Example:
1. It was raining but he went out without an umbrella.
=  In spite of being raining he went out without an umbrella.
 
Rule – 7:  Not only …………But also hy³ Compound sentence wU‡K simple K‡i‡Z n‡j :Beside + (V+ing)/ Noun + extension.
